Yes, the founder of The Universal Church of Gravity, J. David Joyce, enjoys a sip of wine from time to time. The church allows reasonable activities in moderation. The church does not solicit funds or favors; it exists only to inform open minded citizens of the world that there is an alternative to the other religions.
The establishment of this church is the result of his hobby of researching the various religions of the world; but then again, who knows? The theory just might be valid. It is not as strange as some of the other religions and cults out there in the ether.
In his writings, the Philosopher, Baruch Spinoza (1632 - 1677), suggests that Nature is God and God is Nature, much as we feel God is represented as Black Holes and Black Holes represent God. But Spinoza seems to contradict himself in a letter to a colleague. He wrote:
"As to the view of certain people that I identify god with nature (taken as a kind of mass or corporeal matter), they are quite mistaken." He believed that God had many other attributes than just nature. He believed that nature is part of God but that God exists in other things (the entire universe? the Black holes in the universe?).
